Here’s your one stop spot for all events leading up to the big day; the First Day of School! \nBe sure to mark your calendars for these events: \n\n8/26 9:00-10:30am: Kindergarten Orientation\n\nCome meet Ms. Hughes\, tour the school PLUS the kids will have a chance to take a short bus ride which will hopefully help to ease some of the anxious feelings about beginning the year. *Families are encouraged to bring their school supplies on this day to drop off with their teacher*\n\n\n8/29 1:30-2:30pm: New Student Orientation:\n\nThis session will provide families that are NEW to Newtown Elementary a chance to get information\, see the building\, and ask questions\n\n\n8/29 2:30-3:30pm NES Open House Meet & Greet:\n\nSchool-wide Meet and Greet for Grades 1-6. Visit classrooms\, meet the teachers & drop off their supplies if they wish. For those families that took advantage of the 1st Day School Supply order\, your child’s items will already be waiting in their classroom

DESCRIPTION:Register NOW ! PTO Skate Party (formsite.com) \nThe 2nd Annual NES Skate Party is in the works. Last year\, our first year\, the NES students rolled into Philly Skateplex (formerly known as Palace Roller Skating Rink) and had a blast skating to the tunes. This is a family-friendly event and NOT a drop-off event. Non-skating adults pay a discounted admission fee and skaters pay an admission fee. \n\n$11 skaters – includes entry only\n$7 for all non-skaters\nChildren under 4 are free\n$5 skate rentals or bring your own roller skates/blades
